Water Injection

This is water injected into the well to increase the pressure & therefore the amount of oil removed from the reservoir. Filtration is used to filter particulates and algae from the water (often seawater) in order to protect sulphate reduction membranes or the porous rock of the well itself.

Amazon is very experienced in the manufacture of large filter housings for these applications, designed to very high safety standards and made to international pressure vessel codes, such as ASME VIII or PD5500. These are often made in highly corrosion resistant alloys such as duplex or super duplex stainless steels with pressure ratings of up to 50 bar.

Systems often use Duoline filter bags or nominal rated SupaGard filter cartridges as pre-filters, followed by absolute rated SupaSpun II, Contour, SupaPleat II or SupaPleat HFC filters as the final polishing filter.
