Overview

Most commercial wineries need filtration in the wine making process. Many types of filtration are available to the wine maker, primarily cartridge filtration but also including sheet filtration and cross flow (membrane) filtration. All require some cartridge filtration, either at all stages post fining or as a minimum just downstream of the alternative filtration methods (as a final ‘last chance’ secure and testable guard against infection).
