The New UNIVERSAL cup will be phased in to all 60 Series double open ended housings by the end of the first quarter of 2006 and will significantly lower the cost of buying SOE style housings.

The changes you will see:-

0 = Code 0 Standard DOE will have the new pedestal and will remain the same price, it is fitted with guides, a compression plate, spring and seal sets and winged nut.

8 = Code 8 Standard code 8 will still use the machined plate as now, price will go up a little and lead times may extend, it is fitted a location plate, non winged nut and spring but has no guides.

The New UNIVERSAL cup cannot be used for elements where integrity testing will be required, i.e. SupaPore W or B grade, we recommend that you revert back to code 8 or 7 which have machined bores.

New drawings will be prepared in the near future, these will be added to the electronic set as completed.

Knife edge for DOE - Seal face for SOE

The new guides will not have a guide stop as currently supplied (see photo), the stop is now formed directly in to the new guide.

The new guides will fit old housings, however old guides will NOT fit the New UNIVERSAL.

Code 7 remains unaffected
