Amazon Filters 51 and 52 Series code 7 option now comes as an integral part of the cast head. This new feature eliminates the welded adaptor and therefore improves the appearance, size and availability. You will notice from the drawings that the new design (Fig 1) is slightly shorter in length and, because the code 7 option cannot use the DOE tie rod assembly, the threaded boss has been removed giving a cleaner, smoother finish for less problematic cleaning. |

Another major impact is on the finish specification. Previously, after welding the code 7 adaptor, the head required additional finishing - this is no longer the case. The standard finish code C will apply when
requesting BSP connections, finish code D will only apply when welded connections are selected. This new design will have no adverse effect on the filtering capabilities of the finished housing or cartridge.
Note: This does not apply to the C22 Hastelloy option – welded adaptors will still be required. |
