| BOLTED CLOSURE IMPROVEMENT |

| As part of Amazon Filters Ltd. ongoing quality improvement programme we are pleased to announce that the bolted closure option on several of our standard housings has been improved by the incorporation of an integral hinge. The new closures are now investment-cast. This has enabled us to improve the aesthetic appearance of the closure by incorporating a dome shaped cover. The new design means easier and ultimately safer operation. The easy opening closure also incorporates a new handle and the dome effect eliminates potential pooling of process fluid on the lid. |

| The orientation of the lid will be normally at 90 degrees to the inlet and outlet connections. It will be possible to specify alternative orientations for the inlet and outlet connections as well as for the drain and gauge points. The maximum operating conditions remain at 10 bar g and 110°C. Amazon recommends the use of a bolted closure for more demanding applications including those involving hazardous chemicals or viscous fluids. The simple “O” ring seal enables easy cleaning and is available in a wide variety of materials including FEP encapsulated Silicone and Viton. The new closure will be fitted to the 61/6205 Series and 84/85 Series filter housings (204mm shell). |
